The 'Anger Management' star insists he won't date women whose feet are not the right shape or who have long toes.
He said: "I've not dated girls because of their feet, just the length of certain toes and the shape of where things should be and they're not. Hammertoes are bad. And the second toe being too long? That's bad, too."
Last year Charlie's erratic behaviour saw him get fired from hit sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' and he subsequently engaged in a string of bizarre actions, including high-profile partying, dating several "goddesses" and going on a stage tour.
However, he now admits he was in "total denial" about his personal situation, which included losing custody of his three-year-old twin sons Bob and Max.
Charlie - who became known for catchphrases including 'winning' and 'tiger blood' during his wild phase - told the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine: "Clearly, a guy gets fired, his relationships are in the toilet, he's off on some f**king tour, there's nothing 'winning' about any of that.
"I mean, how does a guy who's obviously quicksanded, how does he consider any of it a victory? I was in total denial."
And despite being more in control now, the 46-year-old actor insists he has no plans to give up drinking because he can't see "what's wrong" with indulging in a few alcoholic tipples.
He said: "I mean, the s**t works. Sorry, but it works. Anyway, I don't see what's wrong with a few drinks. What's your drink? Tequila? Mine's vodka. Straight, because I've always said that ice is for injuries, ha ha."
These days Charlie can rely on the support of his second wife Denise Richards, who is mother to his daughters Sam, eight, and seven-year-old Lola.
Denise said: "He and I are like best friends now. Confidants. He tells me everything."
Charlie - who also has 28-year-old daughter Cassandra from a previous relationship - added: "And we sleep in separate rooms. Everybody's going to want to know that, too."
